Welcome to Pāḷi & Aṭṭhakathā Nissaya

Pāḷi Nissaya constitutes a component of the Dhammavihārī Nissaya Translation Project, an undertaking that seeks to translate holy books directly from the Pāḷi language. To ensure the stability and preservation of the Sāsana (Buddhist teachings), all sacred texts, encompassing the Pāḷi canon (Tipiṭaka), Commentaries (Aṭṭhakathā), and Sub-commentaries (Ṭīkā), must promptly undergo translation into the Indonesian language

By making these books accessible, the understanding of the teachings of Buddha becomes more homogeneous, thus enabling the Saṅgha and the laity to practice the teachings correctly. Pāḷi Nissaya is a precious legacy we can offer to the Buddhist faith, the monastic community, and the wider Buddhist community in the Indonesian archipelago, both now and in the future.
